Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

These terms apply when you book catering or street food services with Original Souvlaki Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them carefully. By paying a deposit or confirming a booking with us, you agree to these terms. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Quotes

Quotes are based on the details you give us (date, location, guest numbers, menu and setup) and are valid for 30 days unless we tell you otherwise. A quote is not a confirmed booking; your date is only secured once we receive your deposit and send written confirmation.

2. Bookings and deposits

To confirm a booking we ask for a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total quoted price. The deposit secures your date and goes towards your final balance. Until the deposit is received and confirmed in writing, we cannot guarantee availability.

3. Payment

The remaining balance is due no later than 1 day before your event. For bookings made within 14 days of the event, the full amount is payable at the time of booking. We will confirm accepted payment methods when you book. We reserve the right to treat a booking as cancelled if the balance is not paid by the due date.

4. Final numbers and menu

Please confirm your final guest numbers and menu choices at least 2 days before your event. This is the minimum number you will be charged for. We will always do our best to accommodate small increases, but larger changes close to the event may affect price and availability.

5. Changes by you

If you need to change the date, location or details of your event, let us know as early as possible. We will try to accommodate changes subject to availability. A new date is treated as a transfer of your existing deposit where possible, but we cannot guarantee the same pricing or availability for a different date.

6. Cancellation by you

If you cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

  • Between 7 and more than 28 days before the event: you lose your deposit only.
  • Less than 7 days before the event: 100% of the total price is payable.

This reflects the costs we commit to in advance, including ingredients, staffing and turning down other work for your date. Please send any cancellation to us in writing.

7. Cancellation by us

We very rarely cancel, but if we have to cancel for reasons within our control, we will refund any money you have paid, including your deposit. Our liability in those circumstances is limited to a refund of the amounts you have paid to us.

8. What we provide

We provide freshly prepared Greek street food cooked on site, along with our own cooking equipment and trained staff for the agreed service window. We hold a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency and carry the insurance appropriate to our work, details of which are available on request.

9. What we need from you

To deliver your event safely and on time, you (or your venue) are responsible for providing:

  • A suitable, level area for our setup and gazebo, agreed with us in advance
  • Reasonable access to the site, including for loading and parking, around 2 hours before service
  • A safe working environment free from hazards
  • Any permissions, licences or permits required by the venue or location

If we cannot set up or serve because the agreed access, space or conditions are not available through no fault of ours, we may be unable to provide the service and the cancellation charges above may apply.

10. Allergens and dietary requirements

Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book, and no later than when you confirm final numbers, so we can advise on suitable options. We handle a range of ingredients in our kitchen and at events, so while we take great care, we cannot guarantee any dish is completely free from a particular allergen due to the risk of cross-contamination. It remains your responsibility to make your guests aware of this.

11. Damage and additional charges

You are responsible for any loss of or damage to our equipment caused by you or your guests during the event, beyond normal wear and tear. Any additional charges (for example, extended service time agreed on the day) will be invoiced after the event.

12. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the total price paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

13. Circumstances beyond our control

We are not responsible for failing to perform where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, fire, flood, accident, vehicle breakdown, illness, or actions of third parties. Where this happens we will contact you as soon as possible and work with you to reschedule or, where that is not possible, provide a fair refund for services not delivered.

14. Photography

We sometimes photograph our food and setup for our website and social media. We will not photograph your guests for these purposes without consent. If you would prefer we do not take any photographs at your event, just let us know in advance.

15. Complaints

If anything is not right, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally at the event so we can put it right there and then, or by email at originalgreeksouvlaki@outlook.com.gr afterwards. We take all feedback seriously and will work with you to resolve any issue fairly.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
